A SOUL'S JOURNEY

"Dying is living. And to live is to learn to Love. To love myself and to love one another."
- Zulma Reyo

A SOUL'S JOURNEY

In A Soul’s Journey, Zulma Reyo shares the story of a life lived between worlds: the outer life of the woman, teacher and seeker, and the inner life of memory, revelation and spiritual recognition.

Through the voices of Zulma, Ameliah, and Sa’arah, the book moves beyond personal testament into a profound exploration of personality, soul, and Spirit.

ABOUT THE BOOK

This is not a book that asks for blind belief. It invites recognition. It asks whether the events of our lives: our longings, losses, relationships, conflicts, intuitions, and moments of sudden knowing, may be part of a deeper pattern seeking to reveal itself.

Drawing on a lifetime of teaching Inner Alchemy, consciousness and spiritual transformation, Zulma offers a vision of human life as initiation: a path through which each of us may learn to listen more deeply, love more fully, and remember the greater purpose we came here to serve.

A Soul’s Journey  is for anyone who has ever felt that life was calling them toward something they could not yet name, and for those ready to discover the wisdom hidden within their own soul’s story.

'A Soul's Journey is essential reading for anyone seeking their inner truth.'

'A Soul's Journey draws on a lifetime of dedicated inner work — decades of study under teachers and traditions including Arthur Janov, Osho, the I AM teachings, Sufism, and Daskalos, and the founding of her own Schools of Inner Alchemy — distilled into a memoir that reads as both deeply personal and hard-earned. Zulma Reyo doesn't claim to hand readers final answers; she's candid that belief isn't the point, and that her own understanding came slowly, through lived experience, testing, and doubt as much as insight. That humility gives the book its warmth: what could read as grand cosmic teaching instead feels like an invitation to find your own Adam, Eve, Isis, and Magdalene within, offered by someone who has done the work and wants readers to trust their own inner knowing rather than her authority. A generous, substantial read for anyone drawn to reflective, soul-centered writing.'

'Reyo's framework of distinct internal voices and her practice of 'Temple Presence' echo, respectively, what clinical work shows about integrating the psyche's many parts and what neuroscience now observes in deep meditative states — I make no claim for her cosmology, but the inner territory she maps is real.

ABOUT ZULMA REYO

Zulma is an educator, writer and speaker who has developed and taught her life’s work globally. After traditional university study, she explored various psychotherapies, world religions, mystical traditions, and energetic practices, culminating in what has become her teaching, ‘Inner Alchemy’.

Zulma was born to Puerto Rican parents in 1943 in New York. Her roots bequeathed her a Latin heritage and character, while her exposure to North American and European cultures helped to shape her intellect. She studied Humanities at the Universidad de Puerto Rico, completed a BA in Romance Languages, and an MA in Education at New York University, and went on to post-graduate studies in psychology and counselling at San Fernando Valley State College in California.

In the California environment of the ‘60s and ‘70s, she embraced emerging New Age practices and psychological developments such as training under Arthur Janov at the LA Primal Institute. Zulma’s inner drive to explore the roots of the human being on all levels led her from the Americas to Europe, to India, South America, and finally back to Europe to cross paths with different teachers and to be initiated in various traditions. She was surrounded by Eastern and Western ancient wisdom and engaged in multiple psychotherapies: Gestalt, psychosynthesis, bioenergetics, energy balancing, polarity, regression, and psychic arts, among others. On the inner front, she immersed herself in world religions, meditation, and healing methods: Esoteric Christianity, Theosophy, Anthroposophy, Zen, Buddhism, Sufism, Taoism, Tantra, and Western philosophies, esoteric science, occultism, and parapsychology.

In the early years, Zulma held private practices in California and New York, and co-hosted a show called Dimensions in Parapsychology for Manhattan Cable TV. Notwithstanding, her tools come from the insights experienced in the inner recesses of the Self.  From this depth, they illuminate the path of Inner Alchemy, a system that explores the reality of Higher Consciousness not only as an avenue for transcendent experience, but also as the source of inspiration for direct action in the world.

With the goal of not just reaching but teaching people about themselves and how to manage the human instrument, she founded the Inner Alchemy School of Consciousness in Brazil, Argentina, Paraguay, and finally, in its fullness, most recently in Spain.

Zulma has spent almost four decades of her life dedicated to teaching, writing, training, workshops, and conferences.
The purpose of her life has been to advocate for personal transformation as a way of securing social and world change, while training people to master the path of Inner Alchemy that leads to fullness, success and realisation in daily life.

Zulma Reyo’s concern now is to help people understand themselves and the world we live in, personally, intimately, humanely. This is the purpose of this current website.
